THE TIP OFF:Â The Lincoln women's basketball team is back on the road this week to play a pair of GLVC games outside of the state of Missouri. On Thursday (Jan. 29), the Blue Tigers travel to Springfield, Ill. for a 5:30 p.m. CST game against Illinois-Springfield. On Saturday (Jan. 31), Lincoln heads to Indianapolis, Ind. to play a 12:00 p.m. CST contest against Indianapolis. Lincoln is still in the mix for a postseason berth, but every games counts as LU vies to improve upon its 2-9 conference record. The Prairie Stars of Illinois-Springfield are 4-6 in GLVC play, but won two in a row before suffering an 81-49 defeat to Drury last Thursday (Jan. 22). Indianapolis opened its league slate 0-7 before winning three-straight games, but is coming off a 70-58 loss to Drury on Saturday (Jan. 24).

FAST BREAKS
- On Thursday, Lincoln and Illinois-Springfield will play one another for the seventh time. After winning each of the past two meetings, UIS leads the series, 4-2.

- Lincoln's last win over the Prairie Stars came in 2014-15, when LU won in Jason Gym, 72-47. The Blue Tigers' last victory in Springfield was a 71-63 decision in 2011-12.

- The Blue Tigers and the Greyhounds will meet for just the second time ever on Saturday.

- In the only other game between the teams, Indianapolis won in Jefferson City, 68-53, last season.
