Blue Tigers Win Season Finale, 8-4

ROLLA, Mo. - The Lincoln baseball team scored early and led from start to finish as the Blue Tigers closed their 2025 season with an 8-4 victory over Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon (May 3).

The Blue Tigers didn't waste any time getting on the scoreboard, tallying four runs in the top of a first inning that began with Miguel Padron reaching base on balls. Andy Sreboski IV got on board with a bunt and Easton Stuckenschneider was hit by a pitch, loading the bases for LU with no outs on the board. Wild pitches allowed both Padron and Sreboski to score and Stuckenschneider later came home on an error by the Miners. Jayden Little, who also was issued a walk, scored the Blue Tigers' fourth run on a sacrifice by Felix Marquez.

Lincoln (6-42, 4-28 GLVC) stranded a Missouri S&T (27-22, 17-15 GLVC) runner on third in the bottom half of the opening frame, then began the second inning with a base hit by Drake Davidson. Padron was hit by a pitch and back-to-back singles by Sreboski and Stuckenschneider plated Davidson and Padron, respectively, to increase LU's lead to 6-0.

That score would stand until the bottom of the fifth, when Missouri S&T drove in runs on a ground out and an infield single to close the gap to 6-2. Lincoln was able to get one of those runs back in the sixth inning, though, as Padron hit a triple before scoring his third run of the contest on another hit by Sreboski. Blythe Blakey later capped the scoring for the Blue Tigers with a home run in the top of the ninth.

Sreboski had three hits, Padron finished with two and Chase Morris had one as Lincoln ended the day with a 9-7 advantage in that stat. Ryan Lepper got the win on the mound and notched two strikeouts while Carter Otto pitched the final three innings, struck out one and earned the save. Davidson, meanwhile, stole a base.

Defensively, Little led LU with 12 putouts, Davidson added five and Padron and Stuckenschneider tallied three apiece. Morris had a team-high three assists and Blakey and Lepper each notched two. Sreboski also had an assist for the Blue Tigers.
