ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The Lincoln softball team suffered a pair of four-run losses to Lewis in a double-header on Saturday afternoon (April 6). The Blue Tigers fell in the opener, 4-0, and dropped game two, 6-2.
Neither team was able to push a run across the plate in the first contest until the bottom of the third, when an infield single allowed Lewis to take a 1-0 advantage.
Vanessa Cardenas hit a double in the top of the fourth, but Lincoln was unable to score, and Lewis drove in two more runs on a base hit into center field in the bottom half of the frame. The Flyers later padded their lead with a solo home run in the fifth.
