JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Seniors
Omar Allen and
Aderias Ealy combined for three touchdowns as the Lincoln football team fell to Central Missouri, 63-27, on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 11). Ealy, who had over 100 receiving yards in the contest, finished his Lincoln career with 1,512 receiving yards, placing him fourth in program history.
It was Senior Day for the Blue Tigers, and Allen and Ealy were recognized in a special pregame ceremony along with
Tyler Geide,
David Kinard,
Ishaq Robinson and
Ruben Saravia. In celebration of Veteran's Day, it was also Military Appreciation Day, with Lincoln recognizing veterans and active members of the air force, army, coast guards, marines, navy and space force.
Central Missouri (10-1) built a 42-3 lead entering halftime, with LU's three points coming on a 24-yard
Mo Alwaely field goal. The second half, however, belonged to Lincoln (0-11), as the Blue Tigers out-scored the Mules, 24-21, over the final two quarters.
Lincoln scored on its first possession of the second half, as Allen gained 41 yards on a fourth down play to reach the end zone for the first time as a Blue Tiger. Allen finished the day with 86 yards on 17 carries, an average of 5.1 yards per attempt.
Xzavier Vaughn, meanwhile, rushed for 14 yards and passed for 209 with two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Alwaely kicked a 42-yard field goal on LU's first drive of the fourth quarter, the Blue Tigers forced a punt, and then LU got back on the scoreboard as Ealy hauled in a five-yard pass from Vaughn. Ealy, who caught four passes for 134 yards, set Lincoln up in the red zone earlier in the drive with a 44-yard reception. Ealy later scored his second touchdown of the day on a 69-yard catch-and-run.Â
Charles Johnson added 79 receiving yards on four catches while
TJ Jasper led the LU defense with 21 tackles, including a tackle for loss.
Jamahreon Smith had 16 tackles and
Zenin Hall added 13 while Robinson, Jasper, Hall,
Ke'Ron Blankumsee,
Donte Moore and
CJ Douglas each broke up passes.
Ethan Garnett, meanwhile, contributed seven tackles.
Clayton Winkler had two punts go further than 50 yards and twice pinned UCM inside its own 20 while averaging 43.5 yards per kick. Alwaely averaged 54.0 yards on kickoffs with one touchback.
