CLAREMORE, Okla. - The Lincoln softball team dropped a double-header to Rogers State on Friday evening (April 1). The Hillcats, ranked No. 3 in the country in National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll, won the opener, 11-0, and the night cap, 7-0.
Alivia Rymer had a hit for the Blue Tigers in the first game of the day.
Ashton Stalling notched a strikeout in the circle as a reliever while closer
Alex Miller fanned three Hillcat batters. Rogers State (29-3, 8-0 MIAA) had eight hits in the contest, however, including a grand slam that helped launch the Hillcats to an early lead.
A homerun also opened the scoring in the second game, but that came in the second frame, as Lincoln (11-18, 0-10 MIAA) shut out the Hillcats in the first frame. In five of the seven innings, LU limited RSU to only one run.

Chloe Olson and
Leah Wagner each had a hit, and
Jordan Galliher had three strikeouts as Lincoln's starting pitcher. Stalling also struck out a batter as the closer.
Rymer led LU defensively with nine combined putouts, followed by Wagner with five.
Katie Blair recorded three putouts in the first game, with
Emily Williams and
Jacqueline Marquez each providing two. In the second game,
Jordan Hollon had three putouts as well as two assists.
The Blue Tigers travel to Tahlequah, Okla. to play Northeastern State on Saturday (April 2) in a 12:00 p.m. CDT double-header.
