JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - On the Lincoln women's basketball team's Senior Day, graduating players
Haylie Holloway and
Deija Jackson each scored in double figures. Central Missouri, however, got the win, 82-62, on Saturday (Feb. 26).
Holloway led Lincoln in points (13) and rebounds (six) and tied for the team-high in both assists (three) and steals (two).
Deija Jackson, meanwhile, scored 10 points and dished three assists to go with a rebound and a takeaway.
Central Missouri (19-10, 15-7 MIAA) led 34-24 at halftime, and shot over .500 from the field in both the third and fourth quarters to keep Lincoln (5-23, 1-21 MIAA) from getting back in the game. UCM out-gained LU on the glass, 50-28, including finishing with a 17-10 advantage in offensive rebounding. The Blue Tigers blocked five shots and tallied 10 steals, and scored 23 points off turnovers compared to just 11 for the Jennies.
Imani Jones and
Niyah Jackson each scored 10 points, with Jones grabbing four rebounds, dishing a pair of assists and registering a steal.
Niyah Jackson collected three rebounds and stole the ball twice, and
Kylie Bernskoetter added seven points and a block while
Hya Haywood finished with two points, two steals and three boards.
Mercy Gonzalez ended the day with two points, two boards and a pair of steals, and
Ashtin Ingram had two blocks to go with three points and four rebounds.
AJ Bradley closed the scoring with five points.
