Blue Tigers Fall to No. 22 Fort Hays State


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Fort Hays State, ranked No. 22 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Division II poll, handed the Lincoln men's basketball team a 73-35 loss on Thursday evening (Feb. 17).

Yaniel Vidal and Alafia Oluwasogo each were 3-for-5 from the field, with Vidal scoring eight points, dishing two assists and registering three steals. Oluwasogo added six points, five rebounds and a steal to the LU effort while Chuck Wilson finished with six points and two boards. Ni'Sean Rigmaiden ended the night with five points, three boards and two assists.

Derrick Woods provided two points and two rebounds, Josh Wallace scored three points to go with five boards, and Mark Boland made a three-pointer. John Gaines closed the scoring with two points, a steal and three rebounds while Arash Yaqubi grabbed a rebound.

Lincoln hosts Nebraska Kearney on Saturday (Feb. 19) at 3:00 p.m. CST.
