TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -
AJ Bradley scored 17 points, but the Lincoln women's basketball team dropped an 86-64 decision to Northeastern State on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 22).
Bradley grabbed four rebounds and notched two steals while
Imani Jones added 11 points and also tallied four boards and two steals. Kelsey Mitched dished two assists while chipping in nine points and also registered a block and a steal.
Northeastern State (4-12, 2-8 MIAA) shot .533 for the contest, but the main difference came in the second quarter, as the RiverHawks poured in 20 points while holding Lincoln (5-13, 1-11 MIAA) to eight. The Blue Tigers forced the RiverHawks into 14 turnovers and LU shot .800 at the free throw line, but Lincoln was held to .345 shooting for the ballgame.
Hya Haywood and
Haylie Holloway each scored six points, with Haywood also securing five rebounds, and
Ayreona Carter pulled down five rebounds to go with four points and an assist.
Mercy Gonzalez ended the day with five points, four boards, two steals, a block and an assist.
Aliyah Bello provided two points and three rebounds while
Deija Jackson closed the scoring with four points.
Lincoln continues its four-game road trip on Thursday (Jan. 27) with a 5:30 p.m. CST contest in Maryville, Mo. against Northwest Missouri.
