Vivian Chigbu posted another double-double, but the Lincoln women's basketball team dropped a 79-61 decision to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday (Nov. 30).
Chigbu finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, a block and a steal for her third double-double of 2019-20.
Kaloni Pryear led LU with 18 points and nearly had a double-double herself as she also posted nine rebounds, three assists and a steal.
Missouri-St. Louis (3-3) finished with slight advantages in rebounding (39-37) and turnovers (9-11), but the biggest difference was that UMSL shot .458 from the field and .429 from long distance. Lincoln (1-6), meanwhile, shot .391 overall and made just three of 11 attempts from three-point range.
All nine Blue Tigers who played scored, with
Kiara Shoulders tallying six points and six boards.
Alecia Gulledge finished with five points, a pair of blocks, two assists and a steal, and
Natasha Elliott and
Virja Lewis each scored four points, with Elliott also grabbing three rebounds.
Natasha Dolinsky had two steals and three assists on the afternoon as well as three points and a rebound.
Nia McCaskill added four points and a board while
Vedrana Radosavljevic chipped in two points.
Lincoln will open MIAA play on Thursday (Dec. 5) as the Blue Tigers host Northwest Missouri in Jason Gym at 5:30 p.m. CST.
