JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team fell to Missouri Western, 71-8, on Saturday (Nov. 16).
The game served as the 2019 season finale for the Blue Tigers, as well as Senior Day for the six LU players who took the field at Dwight T. Reed Stadium for the final time. A pre-game ceremony was held to honor

Chavon Gross, Elex Harris, Jr.,
Hasan Muhammad-Rogers,
Bri'on Sanders and
Antonio Watts, as well as cheerleaders Mykel Chambers, Nicholas Hunt, Briana Jones and Mya Kimbrough.
Tori Hicks scored the touchdown for Lincoln on a 31-yard run in the fourth quarter. Lincoln elected to go for two, and converted on a pass from
Chancellor Johnson to
Jarrin McKeithen.
Hosea Franklin finished his record-breaking season with 61 yards on Saturday, bringing his total for 2019 up to 1,359, a new Blue Tiger single-season record. Hicks added 44 all-purpose yards, and
Michael Jones, Jr. rushed for 36 yards on 12 carries.
Gross,
Vontavious Thacker and
Austin Harris all had six tackles, and
Cody Bagby had a tackle for loss while matching
Brennen DeMarco and
Cody Alexander with five tackles apiece. Sanders forced a fumble,
Quan Mason made a tackle for loss and Harris had a hurry in addition to breaking up a pass.
Missouri Western improved its record to 8-3, both overall and in conference play. Lincoln, meanwhile, ends its season with a 1-10 overall and MIAA record.
