Blue Tigers Fall to Missouri Western on Senior Day

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln football team fell to Missouri Western, 71-8, on Saturday (Nov. 16).

The game served as the 2019 season finale for the Blue Tigers, as well as Senior Day for the six LU players who took the field at Dwight T. Reed Stadium for the final time. A pre-game ceremony was held to honor JaJuan Chambers, Chavon Gross, Elex Harris, Jr., Hasan Muhammad-Rogers, Bri'on Sanders and Antonio Watts, as well as cheerleaders Mykel Chambers, Nicholas Hunt, Briana Jones and Mya Kimbrough.

Tori Hicks scored the touchdown for Lincoln on a 31-yard run in the fourth quarter. Lincoln elected to go for two, and converted on a pass from Chancellor Johnson to Jarrin McKeithen.

Hosea Franklin finished his record-breaking season with 61 yards on Saturday, bringing his total for 2019 up to 1,359, a new Blue Tiger single-season record. Hicks added 44 all-purpose yards, and Michael Jones, Jr. rushed for 36 yards on 12 carries.
