WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Central Missouri used a big second half to hand the Lincoln women's basketball team a 77-58 loss on Wednesday evening (Jan. 16).
Bre Coleman led three Blue Tigers in double figures with 17 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, three steals and an assist.
Alecia Kaelke added 13 points and three boards while
Alecia Gulledge provided 11 points, six rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal.
Lincoln (9-6, 1-5 MIAA) kept the game close for the first 10 minutes, trailing just 14-12 at the end of the first period. Central Missouri (11-4, 4-3 MIAA) shot .600 from the floor in the second quarter, but held just a 37-27 advantage entering the break.
The second half was a different story, however, as UCM out-scored LU 26-13 in the third quarter, shooting .471 from the field and .500 from long distance. Lincoln limited the Jennies to just .314 shooting from three-point range for the game, and .422 overall. Central Missouri in turn held LU to .356 shooting overall for the contest and just two made three-pointers.
Zhanesha Dickerson led LU with four assists and chipped in nine points to go with five rebounds, three blocks and a takeaway.
Kiara Shoulders also had a steal to go with three rebounds, and
Kaloni Pryear closed the scoring with eight points, six boards and three assists.
Lincoln closes its three-game road trip on Saturday (Jan. 19) in Bolivar, Mo. as the Blue Tigers play Southwest Baptist at 1:30 p.m. CST.
