ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Central Oklahoma took two games from the Lincoln softball team on Saturday evening (April 1). The Blue Tigers fell in the first game, 15-0, and lost the second, 12-0.
In both games, Lincoln (3-29, 0-12 MIAA) was limited to just two hits.
Sarah Westhoff had both of LU's hits in the opener while
Chelsey Kerr and
Tori Nienhueser had hits in the nightcap. Central Oklahoma (27-7, 9-3 MIAA) used a seven-run third inning to pull away in the first game. In the second, meanwhile, Lincoln held the Bronchos to a 1-0 advantage until the fifth inning.
Westhoff notched three strikeouts in the circle on the evening, and
Macie Kinsey led LU's defense with 11 total putouts.
Madison Ragar provided three assists while Nienhueser finished with two.
Lincoln will be back on its home field on Wednesday (April 5) to host Fort Hays State in a 2:00 p.m. CDT double-header.
