Eight Blue Tigers Score in Double Figures in 132-68 Win


JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Lincoln men's basketball team shot .722 from three-point range and .691 from the floor en route to a 132-68 home win over Robert Morris-Springfield on Saturday afternoon (Dec. 2).

Eight Blue Tigers scored in double figures, including Marquise Williams, who posted his fourth double-double in eight games after tallying 11 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Darrius Spencer scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed seven rebounds to go with three assists, and Terrance Smith and Amariontez Ivory each scored 17.

Grant Olsson provided 16 points and seven boards for Lincoln, which improved to 5-3 overall and 2-0 at home in 2017-18. Paris Parham added 16 points, six rebounds and a pair of assists, and John Burton scored 14 while making four of LU's 13 three-pointers on the afternoon. Lincoln also held a 51-20 advantage in rebounding over Robert Morris-Springfield, which fell to 2-6 on the season.

Calvin Chambers rounded out LU's double-digit scorers by finishing with 10 points, eight assists and four rebounds. Every Blue Tiger who played got in the scoring column, with Destiny Chikwem-Stanley contributing six points and Alexander Nailes providing five points, four boards and a pair of assists. Dante Makazu, meanwhile, came off to bench to add two points and two assists to the winning cause.

Lincoln will now turn its attention to conference play, as the Blue Tigers head to Joplin, Mo. to take on Missouri Southern on Thursday (Dec. 7). Tip-off for LU's MIAA-opener is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CST.
