Vivion Field
The future home of the Lincoln baseball team, Ernie Vivion Field was originally built in the 1950s and served as the home field for the Jefferson City Red Jays, a minor league baseball program. The team was coached by Ernie Vivion, who unexpectedly passed away at the age of 46 in 1962, and the field was renamed in his honor in 1963. In addition to serving as the home stadium for the Blue Tigers, Vivion Field is also the home of the Jefferson City Renegades, a MINK League club.Â
In the late 2010s, the dugouts were updated as well as other facilities in the complex and the scoreboard.The fence distance is 300 feet on both lines, 340 feet at both gaps and 385 feet at center field.
Lincoln baseball will officially begin its first season at Vivion Field as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in the spring of 2025.
