Malik Hoskins

Malik Hoskins was named the full-time head coach of the Lincoln football team in November of 2019 after demonstrating success in leading a young, rebuilding squad in the program's return to the competitive MIAA. He is in his fifth year with the Blue Tigers, and his second full season as the head coach, after being named the interim coach prior to the 2019 campaign.

Competing against some of the best Division II teams in the country, including facing four programs that made the postseason, Hoskins oversaw a Blue Tiger team that finished near the top of the league ranks in rushing and takeaways. Hoskins coached seven players who earned All-MIAA recognition, including Hosea Franklin, who was named to the Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-American honorable mention list after leading the conference with 1,359 rushing yards and 123.5 yards per game.

Hoskins began his career as Lincoln's offensive coordinator in 2017 and coached wide receiver Blake Tibbs to a spot on the All-GLVC second team. The following season, both Tibbs and Kimbo Ferguson received second team All-GLVC recognition while offensive lineman Jamal Brown was selected as an all-league honorable mention.

A 23-year coaching veteran, Hoskins was at Lane from 2008-2015, serving as the offensive coordinator and later as the interim head coach. Hoskins also served as the head track & field coach at Lane from 2008-2014. Before coming to Lincoln, Hoskins worked at Bacone in 2016, where he coached six offensive players who earned all-conference recognition.

Throughout his career, Hoskins has coached and mentored several players who have advanced to play in the professional ranks. Hoskins' commitment to player development was recognized and rewarded when, in 2018, he was selected to attend the NCAA/NFL Coaches Academy.

A native of Philadelphia, Miss., Hoskins completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Mississippi, earning a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology. He has one daughter, Alexia, whom he considers his pride and joy.
