KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced that eight Lincoln University golfers have been named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll. Additionally,
Kaathi Gunasegar, a sophomore wellness major on the LU women's golf team, is a recipient of the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award.
Joining Gunasegar on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll from the Lincoln women's golf team are seniors
Marsya Nazri and
Nyah Singh and juniors
Elliott Hull and
Maria Villamil. Nazri and Singh are both wellness majors while Hull is majoring in business administration and Villamil is majoring in psychology.
Three members of the Lincoln men's golf team were named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll: juniors Henry Mwanza and Remon Rabie and sophomore Logen Prock. Both Mwanza and Prock are majoring in business administration while Rabie is a marketing major.
To qualify for the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have completed at least two semesters at a member institution and own a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. To be eligible for the MIAA Scholar Athlete Award, a student-athlete at a member institution must have made one of the All-MIAA teams for their sport, completed at least two full semesters and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
The criteria for these awards was based on each student-athlete's academic history before the conclusion of the spring semester. Freshmen and newcomers who made the All-MIAA Honor Roll will be announced at a future date.
